Automobile Production In Ukraine Tumbles By 43% In 2014 – Ukravtoprom

Last year production of automobiles in Ukraine was reduced by 43% as compared with 2013, the press service of Ukraine’s automaker association, Ukravtoprom, said on Thursday.

“Totally, 28,751 motor vehicles were produced in 2014. Production of buses dropped mostly. Only 906 buses were manufactured over the 12 months,” the press service said.

The decline in production of commercial vehicles reached 15.2%, Ukravtoprom said.

In 2014 sales of new cars in Ukraine slumped 2.2 times, it said.
