China Believes Russia Can Overcome Current Crisis Easily

China Dove FreedomRussia will be able to overcome current economic difficulties. China is ready to provide any type of assistance to Russia, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said.

“We believe that Russia has the capability and knowledge to overcome the current difficulties in the economy. The China-Russia partnership of strategic coordination remains on a high level. We always provide support and assistance to each other. If the Russian side needs it, we will provide all necessary assistance we can,” said Wang Yi.

China’s Minister of Commerce commented on the situation with the Russian ruble. “As for some fluctuations on the stock market and currency fluctuations on the foreign exchange market, some equity investors are likely to be interested in that. As for practical cooperation, we remain calm, actively promoting the development of such cooperation,” the Chinese official said.

He also expressed confidence that the current financial and economic situation in Russia would not show a significant impact on the implementation of major Russian-Chinese projects in energy, production and other sectors of the economy.

Beijing believes that the deterioration of the economic situation in Russia will affect China, which, together with Russia, intends to implement a number of major projects to increase the influence of both countries on the international arena.

Most likely, China will not offer direct investment to Russia, but prefer to stimulate joint infrastructure and investment projects to support the Russian economy, the Chinese media said.
